The main objectives of our Biomedical Polymers Technology Unit are:
- To conduct research into the development of new speciality polymers
for potential use in biomedical applications, starting from their molecular
design, synthesis, characterisation, processing and testing, right through
to the pre-commercialization stage
- In a wider context, to produce highly trained staff and students, both
in terms of their academic knowledge and research capability
- To gradually build up in Chiang Mai a Polymer Research Group which is
recognised at national and, ultimately, at international level for the
quality of its work
The Biomedical Polymers Technology Unit is a network speciality
technology unit of the
National Metal and Materials Technology Center (MTEC)
National Science and Technology Development Agency(NSTDA)
Ministry of Science and Technology
